Classic photographs: the LEGO edition
January 24, 2011 § 6 Comments
I have a weak spot in my heart for LEGO. You understand then that I was thrilled to discover these amazing recreations of classic photographs by UK based programmer-turned-photographer Balakov.

Balakov's LEGO reconstruction of the famous 1932 photograph "Lunch atop a skyscraper" taken by Charles Ebbets

Balakov's LEGO recreation of Steve McCurry's 1985 National Geographic cover photograph of Sharbat Gula

Balakov's LEGO recreation of Philippe Halsman's 1948 photographic collaboration with Salvador Dalí entitled "Dalí Atomicus"
You can enjoy more of Balakov’s photography on his flickr photostream (including his witty yet tender LEGO Stormtroopers series)
