An eCLOUD in the sky

February 2, 2011 § 4 Comments

How many times haven’t we looked up in the sky and stared at the clouds and their ever-changing forms?

Today, clouds from polycarbonate tiles can make us also stand and stare. eCLOUD, an artwork commissioned to Dan Goods, Nik Hafermaas, and Aaron Koblin by the City of San José’s Public Art Program, is a vivid sculpture, which constantly changes accordingly to current real time weather data from all around the world. Check out this amazing video:

The eCLOUD is the permanent centerpiece artwork at the San Jose International Airport.
