Beneath the (plastic) surface

As a child, I had this urge to find out what was hidden underneath our telephone device or my father’s old typewriter. I never managed to do it, though. That’s why I was so pleased and amazed with all these tiny parts of different gadgets revealed by artist Todd McLellan. In his work entitled Disassembly, old phones, cameras, wind up clocks are all stripped bare and either organised neatly or simply exploding in the air.
