Art above time

It is not a matter of newness, it is a matter of art. Art that surpasses time.
Is it Magritte? Is it Escher? No, these are the photographs of Jerry Uelsmann, a pioneer of surreal photography. Alongside his friend Ansel Adams, he created some of the most beautiful images of the last century. He assembled photographs from multiple negatives, long before the existence of digital media, in order to expose a single print in a process which took at least eight hours.
